Celebrating Earth Day

To celebrate Earth Day, we enjoyed the beautiful weather and cleaned up around our school!

KAAL Weather Lab

Today we had an awesome time watching our local weathermen show us how weather and science work!

 Using heat from a fire to suck the balloon into the vase

 then cooling the can and crushing it by putting it in cold water

STEM challenge

During media this week we were given the challenge to build a house for a little big using toothpicks and fruit snacks. The goal was for the house to stay standing when it went up against the mighty Big Bad Wolf! Together as a team, students planned out and built their houses. They did a great job!

Today we saw a reader's theater play called 
Mrs. Toggle's Class Picture Day!

March 1

Thank you to all the families that came out this morning for Green Eggs and Ham breakfast! It was such a fun event! 

This afternoon we made some green eggs and wrote about where we would eat them!

This morning we went to watch the 4th grade and 5th grade music concert. Their theme was summer camp! It was sure nice thinking about warmer weather! It's always fun to watch siblings and friends perform. They all did a great job!

In like a lion or a lamb??

Yesterday we made predictions about whether March was going to come in like a lion or a lamb. We voted and 17 people thought the day was going to be calm like a lamb and 2 people thought it would be rough/windy like a lion. This morning we made the decision the day was more like a lamb than a lion.
