Author Visit

Today author and illustrator Mike Wohnoutka came to Hawthorne. He talked about what his childhood was like, who inspired him to be an author and illustrator and shared what the process is when he is working on a new book. We got to see many examples of books he has illustrated and he even drew some pictures for us!

Happy Valentine's Day

We had so much fun passing out Valentines, eating delicious food and playing some really fun games. We want to say thanks to our wonderful room parents for planning our parties and helping us out during them!

We made predictions about whether the groundhog 

would see his shadow or not.

Then we brought our groundhog's outside to see their shadows.

We made the paper!
